In addition to her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Rachel has advanced her training in pelvic health physical therapy by completing continuing education coursework through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
As a clinician, Rachel’s interest in treating pelvic conditions stems from her own experience with chronic pelvic pain. She is passionate about treating pelvic health conditions in women, such as chronic pelvic pain (vulvodynia, painful bladder syndrome, vaginismus, pudendal neuralgia), sexual dysfunction, urinary incontinence, and pain and dysfunction associated with pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Rachel takes a holistic approach to treatment, recognizing that helping patients achieve optimal well-being comes from treating more than just physical impairments. Rachel’s background in neuroscience guided her to take a special interest in pain science and the mind-body connection. Rachel aspires to be a conduit to people’s healing and brings a trauma-informed approach to patient care. Rachel emphasizes education and movement-based therapies as crucial parts of her treatment approach and loves helping her patients understand how to restore their own wellness.
